Electrician

Job Title: Electrician Job Type: Permanent Job Category: Property Services Location: Kensington and Chelsea Salary: £23.00 - £25.00 per hour We have an opportunity for an Electrician to join the repairs and maintenance team for a local council in Kensington and Chelsea. This is a static role based entirely on one housing estate - no travel between sites. While you won't be issued a van or fuel card, there is a pool van available on the estate for operatives to use during the day if needed, so you'll need a full UK manual driving licence. Responsibilities: Performing a comprehensive range of responsive repairs, maintenance tasks, and planned works. Identifying and resolving electrical faults reported by tenants. Addressing urgent electrical issues, including power outages, faulty wiring, and safety hazards. Installing new electrical systems, such as lighting, sockets, consumer units, and complete rewiring in both occupied and vacant properties. Conducting Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and necessary remedial work to ensure regulatory compliance. Upholding a professional and respectful demeanour when engaging with residents and housing staff.
