Contract Data Product Manager - Retail - £650 per day Outside IR35 A leading retail organisation is looking for an experienced Contract Data Product Manager to join one of their strategic data programmes. This role requires 2 days a week in Farringdon. The contract will commence in 1–2 weeks and offers a £650/day rate (outside IR35). The Role The successful candidate will take ownership of a backend data platform, focusing on governed datasets, data quality enforcement, and platform tooling. This is a pivotal role shaping how data products are built, validated, and consumed across a large-scale enterprise environment. Key Responsibilities: Define and manage governed data products within a medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold). Lead platform enhancements around data quality, lineage, cataloguing, and data contract enforcement. Collaborate closely with data engineers and architects to deliver scalable, reliable pipelines. Drive roadmap and integrations across Alation, Azure Data Services, Databricks, and Great Expectations. Partner with Data Governance to support data domain stewards and align with enterprise data strategy. Ideal Experience: Proven experience as a Product Manager for data platforms, pipelines, or PaaS. Strong familiarity with Azure, Databricks, and data governance frameworks. Deep understanding of data contracts, data quality KPIs, and metadata standards. Experience working in modern data stack environments with cross-functional teams.
