Amelia Knight Limited Senior Product Developer/ Buyer – Cosmetic & Skincare Location: Knutsford Contract Type: Permanent An opportunity for a Senior Product Developer - Buyer to join our fast-growing, globally recognised FMCG beauty business. We are a dynamic and ambitious company specialising in both private label and branded cosmetic and skincare products, supplying leading international retailers. About You You are a strategic, commercially minded product innovator with a passion for beauty and a proven track record of delivering successful product launches within the FMCG or beauty/ skincare industries. Your strengths include: Significant experience in a product development role within beauty, cosmetics, skincare, or adjacent FMCG sectors. Deep understanding of global beauty trends. A proven ability to manage complex development timelines across multiple product categories. Strong commercial acumen — you understand how to build product ranges that balance innovation with cost, margin, and market relevance. Exceptional project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple product pipelines simultaneously. A collaborative and solutions-focused mindset with strong communication and presentation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel & PowerPoint in particular) and familiarity with NPD tracking tools or PLM systems. The Role You will be driving compelling beauty ranges that excite our customers and align with our brand and private label strategies. Key responsibilities include: Far east sourcing. Lead the development of new product concepts and innovation pipelines, aligned to brand and retailer strategies across skincare, cosmetics, and gifting. Conduct market, competitor, and category analysis to identify opportunities, support strategic range planning, and deliver compelling innovation stories. Partner with the Sales, Creative, and Technical teams to develop robust and commercially viable product propositions. Oversee critical path management for multiple product developments, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, on budget, and in line with customer expectations. Collaborate closely with international manufacturing partners, particularly our China-based facility, to ensure development accuracy, quality, and timely execution. Brief and review all creative deliverables including packaging, artwork, CADs, and sample iterations to ensure brand and category alignment. Manage product costings and margin analysis. Work with in-house chemists and formulation experts to brief and review skincare and cosmetic innovations, ensuring compliance with client and regulatory requirements. Represent the NPD function in key internal and external meetings, bringing category insight and product authority to cross-functional collaboration. Proactively manage sample development, colour matching, and sensory testing processes, ensuring alignment to concept and consumer expectations. Why Join Us?
