Role Details Role: Procurement Lead Hours: 40 hours per week Shift Pattern: Core working hours between Monday to Friday, typically, 08:00 – 16:00 Contract: Permanent Join Inspired Global Cuisine (IGC) Inspired Global Cuisine are a frozen ready meal manufacturer based in Gorton, East Manchester. Job Description Are you a strategic procurement professional ready to make a significant impact? Join IGC as our Procurement Lead the optimisation of our procurement operations while delivering exceptional financial results. We're seeking a commercially minded procurement leader to maximize our budgeted financial purchasing KPIs, including purchase price variance (PPV), while maintaining the highest standards of quality and reliability across our entire product range. What You'll Do Strategic Leadership Develop and execute cost-effective procurement strategies that drive commercial success Lead strategic sourcing initiatives to identify and qualify new suppliers Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities Supplier Excellence Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to secure favourable terms and conditions Negotiate contracts and agreements ensuring competitive pricing and optimal terms Ensure supplier compliance with safety requirements and company standards Drive quality assurance processes in collaboration with our Technical team Commercial Impact Conduct comprehensive cost analysis and implement optimisation strategies Work with internal stakeholders to identify savings without compromising quality or delivery Manage risk proactively by identifying supply chain vulnerabilities and developing mitigation strategies Generate and analyse procurement reports to track KPIs and demonstrate value Operational Excellence Partner with Supply Chain and Production teams to optimize stock levels and minimize excess inventory Implement robust stock control measures to prevent stockouts and overstock situations Ensure full compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards Provide regular updates to senior management on activities, savings, and risks Team Leadership Lead and develop the Procurement team while fostering collaboration across departments Work closely with NPD and Operational teams to support business objectives Liaise with Finance to ensure accurate and timely supplier payments Skills & Experience Experience Proven experience within buying/food manufacturing or similar background (desirable) In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices and supply chain management Good understanding of business and project management, purchasing management (desirable) Key Capabilities Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen Excellent analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills Outstanding organizational skills and budget planning capabilities Great interpersonal skills to build strong working relationships internally and externally Proactive approach with ability to independently manage own workload Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite Benefits Our benefits package includes: 25 days holiday, plus 8 days bank holiday 15% store discount 30% discount with Club Individual Restaurant Group Free parking onsite Enhanced maternity/paternity leave Employee assistance programme Long service awards Reward & recognition Rewards discount / cashback scheme at over 150 retailers.
