Energy and Carbon Project Lead (Commercial Property Focus) Salary: £49,500 - £52,835 (P3 band, upper end includes performance-related pay) Start Date: Conditional offer allows start within 2-3 weeks Location: Hybrid (on-site typically one day per week) Mileage: 45p per mile for site visits Benefits: 17% pension contribution, flexible hours, strong team culture Panoramic Associates are supporting a local authority to recruit an Energy and Carbon Project Lead to oversee sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives across their commercial property estate . This is a strategic role focused on project delivery, lifecycle planning, and technical leadership on carbon reduction schemes. Key Responsibilities: Lead building-related energy and carbon projects across the operational estate Act as subject matter expert on sustainability and building systems Oversee lifecycle maintenance, budgeting, and procurement for energy schemes Support contract management Review energy-related business cases and ensure compliance with legislation and the council's Energy Strategy Identify and deliver efficiency and cost-saving opportunities across the estate Candidate Requirements: Background in Environmental, Engineering, Building Services, or Construction Experience with sustainability and building management systems Understanding of contract management processes Strong communication skills and a collaborative, proactive approach Cultural fit is key - technical skills can be developed if needed Interview Process: Initial phone call followed by face-to-face interview.
