Construction Manager

Role: Construction Manager Location: North East, UK Start Date: ASAP Sector: Energy / Power Generation / EPC Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to support the delivery of a Net Zero Project Power Generation Project. You will be responsible for overseeing the construction of the Project and Balance of Plant systems, ensuring safe execution of all works. This role requires a deep understanding of combined cycle power plants, mechanical and piping installations, and multi-disciplinary coordination on large-scale industrial EPC projects. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate daily activities of subcontractors across civil, mechanical, and E&I disciplines. Review and optimise construction schedules & installation methods to enhance constructability and productivity. Manage site execution with project plans, engineering deliverables, and safety/quality standards. Interface with engineering teams to resolve technical issues and field modifications. Validate installation progress and prepare weekly progress reports for assigned areas. Oversee installation of rotating and static equipment, piping systems, and heavy lifts. Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) regulations and procedures. Support commissioning preparation and punch list resolution as needed. Qualifications & Experience: Mechanical Engineering background with 8 years of experience in power generation and industrial construction. Proven track record as Construction Manager on combined cycle power plants. Extensive experience in all phases of power plant construction – civil works through commissioning support. Strong expertise in piping, pressure systems, HRSG installation, rotating equipment, and EPC site execution. Contract Conditions: First stage of mission will require frequent travel to France and then Full-time site-based role Duration: 12–18 months with scope to continue through til 2027
