HGV Class 1 Shunter

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Bury St Edmonds area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Shunter Drivers (CAT CE) to join the team. Hours: Sunday to Thursday, 13:00pm starts Pay Rate: £15.94 per hour PAYE Location: Bury st Edmonds, IP32 Job Type : Ongoing position. The role: Perform shunting of trailers within the yard to ensure efficient operations. Safely maneuver vehicles in tight and busy spaces. Conduct pre and post operation vehicle inspections to ensure safety and reliability. Adhere to all health and safety regulations and procedures. Coordinate with the yard and dispatch teams to maintain seamless workflow. Report any defects or issues promptly to the maintenance team. Maintain accurate records of shunting activities and vehicle movements. Assist with other yard duties as needed. Requirements: Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category CE). Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card. No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only) Full understanding of WTD legislation. Excellent communication skills.
