Packhouse Manager – Soft Fruit Location: Scotland Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum performance-based bonus Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent A well-established soft fruit business in Scotland is looking for an experienced Packhouse Manager to oversee and manage its high-volume fruit packing operations. The role involves coordinating all aspects of the packing process during a busy seasonal period, ensuring quality, efficiency, and staff coordination are consistently maintained. Key Responsibilities * Manage daily packhouse operations, including staff across multiple shifts * Ensure all fruit is packed to the required quality and specification * Work closely with growing and commercial teams to align supply and demand * Maintain hygiene, food safety, and compliance standards * Monitor packing efficiency, packaging stock levels, and minimise waste * Support site preparation pre-season and contribute during audits and visits Ideal Candidate * Experience in fruit packing or fresh produce environments * Strong understanding of quality control, shelf life, and seasonal workflows * Confident team leader with excellent organisational skills * Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-output setting Benefits * Salary up to £60,000 per annum, dependent on experience * Performance-based bonus scheme * Employer pension contribution following a qualifying period This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on, experienced manager looking to take on a key leadership role within a fast-paced and respected produce business
