Anaerobic Digestion Operator

We are recruiting for an Anaerobic Digestion Operator on behalf of our valued client in the Knaresborough area. Anaerobic digestion (AD) is a series of natural biological processes whereby organic waste material in processed to bio gas. The role will be a hands-on role operating machinery on the site, managing feedstock (organic waste) throughput the process alongside assisting in plant maintenance, general upkeep and repairs. Responsibilities Safe and efficient operation of the plant during steady state, start up, shutdown and emergency situations as directed by the Operations Manager Ensure day to day compliance with all aspects of the Environmental Permit, reporting any non-compliance or incident to the Operations Manager. Work within the companys Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental System and all relevant legislation. Carry out routine plant inspections and adjustments/operations as required collecting and recording plant data. Responding to first line and breakdown maintenance requirements as far as background and experience permits. Able to safely operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck, front Load mechanical shovel and grab crane. (Training will be offered to suitable candidates). Loading fermenter/dry digester with organic material. Qualifications Experience working with Anaerobic Digestion Front end loader/shovel licence Skills Excellent problem-solving skills The ability to work unsupervised and take responsibility during dynamic situations Completer/Finisher able to deliver results on schedule
