Job Description
Document Controller / Project Coordinator Location; London Salary; upto £40,000 per annum The Document Controller/Project Coordinator is responsible for managing all project-related documentation, ensuring that all information is accurately recorded, maintained, and readily accessible. This role is crucial for facilitating communication among project teams and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with organisational, security and regulatory with all work including installation and fabrication drawings on major building projects You will be working on significant construction projects in the UK/Worldwide and develop your expertise by being part of a skilled, talented, and multi-disciplinary team. The role would suit someone who is a quick learner, detail conscious, good communication skills with a positive attitude. KEY FUNCTIONS This role will require the individual to: • Controlling company and project documentation • Following and improving document control procedures • Supporting with project administration • Coordination of projects with Project Managers • Ensuring all documentation meets formal requirements and required standards • Sorting, storing and retrieving electronic and hard copy documents on behalf of clients and industry professionals, including contracts, drawings, specifications, reports, and communications. • Producing reports for senior managers • Supporting with management of budgets • Using computers to organise and distribute documents within a company • Helping in the planning stages of a specific project • Ensure documents are shared at key times to facilitate timely project completion • Manage version control of all project documents, ensuring that the latest versions are used and historical versions archived appropriately. • Assist in the preparation of project reports, presentations, and documentation for meetings. • PERSONAL QUALITIES The key is attitude and aptitude. We are looking for: • Strong interpersonal/communication skills. • Have the desire, drive, and willingness to continuously develop and learn. • Technical problem-solving abilities. • A Team player. • QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. • Proficient in document management software and project management tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. • Familiarity with document control processes, standards, and regulations relevant to the industry. • Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and manage time effectively Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. • Knowledge of best practices in project documentation and reporting. • Good IT skills, specifically Microsoft Windows Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, & PowerPoint)
