Manual Machinist Mills & Lathes Location: Driffield, East Yorkshire Salary: £30,000 to £38,000 dependant on experience Staffpower Group are hiring for a Manual Machinist with experience operating mills and lathes, particularly Bridgeport machines for our long-established engineering company based in Driffield. This is a great opportunity to join a skilled and supportive team within a precision manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Operate manual milling and turning machines (Bridgeport) Produce components to tight tolerances and quality standards Interpret technical drawings and work with minimal supervision Perform basic machine maintenance and ensure a clean, safe workspace What Were Looking For: Proven experience as a manual machinist, particularly with mills and lathes Confidence working on Bridgeport machines Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Desirable: CNC machining experience (training may be provided) Understanding of manual machining practices even if primarily CNC trained We are also open to considering CNC machinists with a solid understanding of manual machining principles.
