Freelance Quantity Surveyor – High-Rise Project | Leeds Location: Leeds, UK Project: High-Rise Residential/Mixed-Use Development Contract Type: Freelance Day Rate: Competitive Duration: Ongoing We’re currently seeking an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to join a flagship high-rise development project in central Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially focused QS with strong high-rise or large-scale urban project experience to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic delivery environment. Key Responsibilities: Cost management throughout all project phases Preparing and managing budgets, forecasts, and cashflows Subcontractor procurement and package management Interim valuations, payments, and cost reporting Managing variations and change control Liaising with the project team, consultants, and client representatives Ensuring contract compliance (JCT or NEC) Requirements: Proven experience in a Quantity Surveying role on high-rise or major construction projects Strong commercial acumen and understanding of construction contracts Proficiency with relevant cost management tools (e.g., Excel, CostX, CATO) Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent Immediate availability preferred
