Refrigeration Engineer

Job Summary: CJS Recruitment seeking a qualified and experienced Refrigeration Engineer on a permanent basis in Heathrow. The right engineer would need to have a CSCS card or other replacement qualification their own tools and have experience in the industry. Work duties will be based in commercial fitouts and related works, performing AC / refrigerator engineering duties and more. Job Perks; Van and fuel included Mobile phone provided 22 days holiday bank hols Contributed pension Death in service Key Responsibilities: * Install, service, and repair refrigeration systems, including cold rooms, display cabinets, chillers, freezers, and air conditioning units. * Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control faults in refrigeration equipment. * Perform preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns and ensure system reliability. * Handle refrigerant gases responsibly, including charging, recovery, and leak detection (F-Gas compliance). * Read and interpret technical diagrams, wiring schematics, and service manuals. * Maintain detailed service records, job sheets, and parts used. * Adhere to all health and safety regulations, especially those related to pressurized systems and refrigerants. * Support emergency call-outs and perform out-of-hours service if required. * Liaise with clients or facility managers to provide professional service and system advice. * Required Cards & Qualifications: * Gas Safe registered F-Gas Safe * NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration & Air conditioning (or equivalent) * Health and Safety 9 - CSCS card and SSSTS * First aid – preferably * Electrical competency (17th/18th edition)
