Mechanical Project Manager

About the Role: We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join our team and lead the delivery of mechanical services across a diverse portfolio of projects from our regional office in Leeds. Operating within key sectors such as Healthcare, Education, and the Ministry of Justice (MOJ), this is a dynamic role requiring both technical expertise and strong leadership capabilities. You'll take full ownership of mechanical packages across the full project lifecycle-from design coordination and planning, through to execution, commissioning, and handover-ensuring all works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. Key Responsibilities: Manage the end-to-end delivery of mechanical (HVAC) works on multiple projects Produce and maintain accurate progress reports and planning documentation Ensure all project milestones and deadlines are met Oversee Health & Safety on site, ensuring full compliance with company and legal standards Coordinate and manage both direct labour and specialist subcontractors Maintain strong control of budgets and costs, delivering value-driven outcomes Support in pre-construction activities including tendering and estimation (where applicable) Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure strong working relationships and client satisfaction Desired Skills & Experience: Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager, ideally across MOJ, Healthcare, and Education sectors Strong technical knowledge of mechanical services, particularly HVAC systems Excellent organisational and planning skills Financially astute, with a strong understanding of budget control and commercial management Good knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and best practices Confident communicator, capable of managing client relationships and team performance IT literate, including project management and reporting tools Estimating experience is beneficial but not essential Sectors You'll Work In: Ministry of Justice (MOJ) Healthcare Education CommercialWhat's on Offer: Competitive salary dependent on experience Company car or car allowance Private medical insurance Generous pension scheme 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Career progression opportunities in a growing and respected business
