Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Our client a building developer / contractor are seeking a motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a major residential development in Portsmouth. This is a key role supporting the financial management and delivery of a multi-phase housing project consisting of private housing and apartments. Key Responsibilities: * Assist with subcontractor procurement and payments * Support monthly valuations, cost reporting, and forecasting * Help manage budgets, variations, and cash flow * Attend site meetings and liaise with site and design teams * Maintain accurate records and assist with final accounts What We're Looking For: * 2–4 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role (contractor or developer side) * HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent * Confident communicator, well-organised, with good commercial awareness * Proficient in Excel; experience with construction management software is a plus What’s on Offer: * Excellent career progression with a reputable regional contractor * Training and support from experienced surveyors * Long-term involvement in a landmark development * Competitive salary, car allowance, and company benefits
