Associate Immigration Attorney

Job Description Job Description We are seeking an highly motivated Associate Immigration Attorney to become a part of our team! Strong candidates will have advocacy, legal research and writing skills. This role involves representing clients before USCIS, ERO, ICE, EOIR and Federal Courts. Candidates MUST have a J.D. from an accredited institution, be admitted to practice law in the United States, and be fully bilingual in English and Spanish. In this position, you will be required to interact with coworkers at all levels of our company, as well as with clients and foreign nationals. Responsibilities: Represent clients in removal defense proceedings before immigration courts and agencies, including bond hearings, deportation cases, and appeals. Attend hearings at the Immigration Court and interviews at the USCIS office. Conduct initial consultations and client meetings Develop the case, working with paralegals and clients to ensure proper evidence is obtained. Advocate for clients before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and other relevant agencies. Handle family-based and business immigration matters, including naturalization, adjustment of status, consular processing, waivers, and employment-based petitions. Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, memoranda, and other legal documents. Prepare clients before interviews and court hearings. Maintain effective communication with clients and foreign nationals regarding case strategy, procedural requirements, and case processing updates. Develop legal strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys and legal staff. Be able to explain legal terminology, case progress, and procedural requirements to clients succinctly in a timely manner. Stay informed on legislative and policy changes affecting and provide guidance accordingly.
