Position Summary: Roseman University is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Director of the Externship Program to lead and manage our 3rd and 4th year elective clinical rotations. This role is responsible for overseeing scheduling, budgeting, site affiliations, provider/preceptor relationships, accreditation compliance, and program growth initiatives. The Director will exercise independent judgment and decision-making authority that directly impacts students on rotation. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in event planning, marketing, and communication, and will work closely with affiliate dentists at remote clinical sites to ensure a high-quality externship experience. Essential Functions: Coordinate externship operations and events in collaboration with Outreach Operations, including continuing dental education and faculty calibration. Manage affiliation agreements, contracts, and affiliate faculty appointments. Ensure timely submission of student credentials and documentation to clinical sites. Maintain compliance with CODA accreditation through data collection, reporting, and documentation. Conduct annual site visits and faculty calibration at affiliated rotation locations. Oversee financial processes, including invoicing and reimbursements related to student rotations. Supervise student rotation and travel logistics, including arrangements and paperwork. Support faculty and teaching responsibilities as assigned by the Associate Dean. Serve as a communication liaison for clinical affairs and patient care updates. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: DDS/DMD degree from a CODA accredited US or Canadian dental school or equivalent Must be eligible for licensure in Utah at the time of application and receive licensure within 3 months of hire Experience working in health care environments/systems and familiarity with higher learning/education.
