Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to nursing staff and assist in delivering high-quality patient care within a clinical or hospital setting. This role is critical in ensuring that patients receive the attention and care they need during their treatment process, particularly in environments such as a Level I or Level II trauma center, PICU, OR, or medical-surgical units. Responsibilities Assist nursing staff with patient care tasks including bathing, dressing, and feeding patients. Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure. Support patients with mobility and transfers to ensure their safety and comfort. Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient rooms and common areas. Assist in the preparation of patients for procedures or examinations as directed by healthcare professionals. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to provide updates on patient status. Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR). Participate in training sessions and continuing education to enhance skills relevant to clinic operations and emergency medicine. Manager will consider a CNA, however need to have experience in OR setting with required skills. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician preferred. Previous experience in a clinical or hospital setting is highly desirable, particularly in areas such as geriatrics, hospital medicine, emergency medicine, or trauma care. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team. Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and compassion. Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures related to patient care. Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing for long periods and lifting patients when necessary. Familiarity with medical-surgical practices is an advantage; experience in PICU or OR settings is also beneficial.
