Management Accountant

Jenson Fisher is delighted to be working with our award-winning client based in Stirling to appoint a Management Accountant on a permanent, full time basis. The Management Accountant role interfaces with key contacts across the business with a reporting line into the Head of Finance and the successful candidate would critically be responsible for the production of management accounts on a monthly basis and leading the month end process with the support of a small yet established finance team. The position of Management Accountant will suit an individual with a strong sense of business and with strong levels of commerciality. You will have experience working in fast paced, dynamic environments previously and will be in possession of your full accounting qualifications (ACCA, CIMA, CA or equivalent) or deem yourself Qualified by Experience. On a day to day basis your responsibilities will include: • Production of monthly management accounts and presenting to the Senior Management Team. • Involvement in Group reporting. • Variance analysis and ad-hoc financial reporting. • Support business decision making through the provision of first class financial information. • Oversee transactional finance, ensuring that deadlines are met. • Maximising the efficiencies within the finance department. • Budgeting and forecasting for the business. • Balance sheet reconciliations and overseeing the bank. • VAT returns and intrastat reporting. Person Specification • Fully Qualified Accountant or Qualified by Experience. • Prior experience working within a fast paced, commercial environment. • Previous experience working as a Management Accountant. • Strong user of financial systems. • Confident self starter with the ability to influence across the business. • Strong communicator who can communicate financial information to non-financial people.
