Job Description
Project Planner – Bristol We’re working with a well-established main contractor who are looking to appoint a Project Planner to join their growing team. This is a key role supporting the Planning Manager and site teams in the preparation, coordination, and management of project programmes from tender through to construction. Key Responsibilities: Assist in developing tender programmes and converting them into Master Construction Programmes Liaise with Planning Manager, Construction Directors and Contract Managers to finalise and update programmes Report progress and programme slippage to senior stakeholders Prepare method statements, logistics plans, and periodic reviews of key project timelines Maintain programme databases (Gateway) and ensure document control compliance Uphold Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards in line with ISO requirements Support company CPD, sustainability, and CSR initiatives Key Requirements: Essential: Minimum 3 years’ planning experience in a construction environment Proficient in Asta Powerproject and/or Microsoft Project Strong understanding of construction sequencing and project lifecycle Excellent reporting and communication skills Competent with Microsoft Office Experience working on live construction sites Relevant construction qualification (HNC/HND/BTEC/Degree) CSR or CSCS card Desirable: Experience with AutoCAD or similar design tools Understanding of tender documents, contracts, and commercial planning Knowledge of web-based document management systems CIOB accreditation This is a great opportunity to join a reputable contractor with a strong pipeline of UK-wide projects.
