Health & Safety Manager Herts, Berks, Derbyshire or Manchester (national travel) Permanent £50K Excellent opportunity working as part of a large Health & Safety team for a chemical manufacturing and engineering business. The company in question works with a number of a high-profile clients and you will be exposed to a number of a innovative projects and diverse risks. The role will involve national travel (2-3 days per week) and you can be based from any of the company's offices in Berkshire, Hertfordshire, Derbyshire or Manchester. The Health & Safety Manager will be responsible for: Assisting the Health and Safety Leader and Head of Department in managing daily deliverables and workflow, ensuring timely delivery of stakeholder requirements. Mentor Health and Safety Advisors and ensure continuous personal development. Developing and reviewing health and safety audit plans and schedules, ensure timely completion of incident investigations and lessons learned, and maintain up-to-date health and safety documents in line with new legislation and practices. Planning and reviewing health and safety training components of the corporate training matrix, develop knowledge and skills in the area of specialism, and be a key part of the site Emergency Response Team. The Health & Safety Manager will have: NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) strongly desirable. We are willing to look at candidates at Certificate level. Health & Safety experience ideally in pharmaceutical, R&D, chemical or a higher education background. Good presentation, communication and influencing skills, able to engage and collaborate with various organizational functions Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment, respects others, and works together to achieve better outcomes for themselves and customers.
