Social Worker job for a Qualified and Experienced Social Worker to join the Cared For Team in Torbay. RATE: Up to £40 per hour (dependent on experience) TYPE: LOCUM Social Worker TEAM: Children's Cared For Team HOURS: 37 hours per week HYBRID: Yes Must have Strong safeguarding and case management experience Social Worker - Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality social work to children, young people, and families in line with statutory guidance and best practice. Hold and manage a complex caseload effectively. Mentor and support less experienced social workers and newly qualified staff. Undertake thorough assessments of service user needs and devise appropriate care packages. Actively contribute to safeguarding processes and child protection planning. Work flexibly across multiple service areas within Childrens Services. Chair and manage meetings such as Core Groups and contribute to court proceedings with minimal managerial oversight. Maintain accurate records and adhere to administrative and IT procedures.
