Assistant Accountant

Jenson Fisher are delighted to be partnering with our long standing client in Dundee to recruit an Assistant Accountant on a permanent, full time basis. Reporting into the Finance Manager, the Assistant Accountant will play a key role in overseeing the daily transactional management whilst also supporting at both month and year end reporting. You will have experience working in a busy finance team and have a strong understanding of transactional processes and procedures. You will have experience using financial software and also be a strong user of Microsoft Excel. On a day to day basis your responsibilities will include: Overseeing accounts payable and receivable for two divisions of the business. Bank reconciliations. Assisting with the preparation of VAT returns. Calculating accruals and prepayments. Collation of time and attendance for payroll. Ad-hoc financial analysis and project accounting. Supporting at both month and year end with management accounts and statutory reporting.
