Specialist in Data Governance (Mid-level)

Walmart Mexico and Central America is looking for a Data Governance Specialist. We are seeking a professional with experience in the implementation of Enterprise Data Governance practices, capable of collaborating with business, technology, legal, privacy, and security teams to ensure responsible data usage and management. Key responsibilities: Document and implement policies and standards defined by senior leadership. Identify and classify critical data elements by domain and subdomain. Consolidate technical and functional information in metadata tools and data catalogs. Execute data quality validations and coordinate remediation actions. Support the documentation and maintenance of master data. Participate in working sessions, training, and operational governance processes. Required profile: Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. 2–3 years of experience in data governance, data engineering, or data architecture. Advanced English (written and spoken). Knowledge of cloud technologies (GCP, Azure), SQL, Python or R. Desirable: experience with data catalogs, metadata management, and data visualization. Strong collaboration, documentation, and process execution skills within established frameworks.
