IDR Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a travel nursing job in Alexandria, Louisiana. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel We’re hiring a Cath Lab RN for a day shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) with ASAP start . Join a skilled cardiovascular team performing a variety of interventional procedures including cardiac caths, TAVRs, peripherals, and device implants. Responsibilities Include: Delivering complex nursing care using the full nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation) Administering medications and monitoring for effectiveness and side effects Educating patients and families on care plans and recovery Documenting patient histories, assessments, medications, and procedures Delegating tasks appropriately to team members to ensure high-quality patient care Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to manage clinical situations Unit Info: Procedures: Cardiac caths, peripherals, TAVRs, pacemakers, AICDs Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1 patient to 4 staff (2 RNs, 2 techs) No floating to other units On-call required (rotational with team) Every 3rd or 4th weekend rotation Temp-to-perm conversion possible Requirements: Active RN license in the state of employment (or compact) BLS (required) ACLS (required) 1 year of critical care or cath lab experience preferred (new grads accepted) BSN preferred Orientation & Onboarding: All experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within 30 days of hire Precepted by trained staff with unit-specific competency validation Ongoing annual competency assessments required Epic experience preferred Temp-to-perm potential available Must be comfortable with on-call responsibilities and rotating weekends Candidates with experience in interventional or cardiovascular care are highly encouraged to apply New graduates will be considered and provided thorough onboarding support About IDR Healthcare IDR Healthcare is an awarding winning staffing firm that believes it is a privilege and awesome responsibility to serve those who selflessly care for others.
