Job Description Job Description Position Summary: Xylem is seeking a safety-focused and mechanically inclined Field Service Technician to perform hands-on service, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems at customer sites. In this role, you will install, troubleshoot, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and diesel-powered equipment while ensuring safe and efficient operations. You will travel to various customer locations, deliver exceptional service, and act as a technical resource and brand representative for Xylem. We encourage individuals with experience in HVAC, electrical work, plumbing, diesel, or mechanical systems who are passionate about problem-solving in dynamic field environments to apply. Key Responsibilities: Safely operate company vehicles to transport equipment and materials. Execute field service activities including equipment installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Proactively identify and resolve equipment safety or performance issues. Ensure both company- and customer-owned equipment are operated safely and effectively. Foster a safe working environment and contribute to a strong safety culture. Communicate effectively with customers, representing Xylem professionally. Maintain and safeguard company tools, vehicles, and assets. Work independently or as part of a team to meet service goals. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. 2–5 years of relevant technical experience, including in industrial or commercial process water systems. Clean driving record and ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card. Ability to obtain all required customer site clearances (TWIC, DISA, etc.). Willingness to travel up to 20%. Preferred Skills: Experience with mechanical, electrical, or diesel systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and smart devices. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting abilities. Ability to synthesize technical information and communicate it clearly. Capable of working without direct supervision in a dynamic environment. Compensation & Benefits: The estimated salary range for this position is $25 to $32. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors such as skills, experience, and work location.
