Job Description Job Description Now Hiring: Phlebotomist I – Shelby, NC (Part-Time, Onsite) Location: 200 Post Rd, Shelby, NC 28150 Contract Length- 6 months Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–3:00 PM Pay Rate: $17.20- 19.80/hr Join one of the most respected names in diagnostics! We’re looking for a dedicated and skilled Phlebotomist I to provide excellent patient care and accurate specimen collection at our Shelby Patient Service Center in Shelby, NC. Key Responsibilities: • Draw quality blood samples from patients of all ages in a safe and accurate manner • Prepare specimens for lab testing while following established procedures • Create an atmosphere of trust and confidence by explaining procedures clearly • Maintain proper documentation and ensure patient confidentiality • Promote a clean, safe, and professional environment • Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collections Requirements: • Minimum of 6 months phlebotomy experience required; 1 year preferred • Experience drawing blood from pediatric and geriatric patients • Customer service experience in retail or service environment preferred • Keyboard/data entry proficiency required • High school diploma or equivalent required • Phlebotomy certification preferred (mandatory in CA, NV, WA) • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred • Reliable transportation required (bus/rideshare not accepted) • Must be available to work assigned hours and stay the entire shift • Candidate must reside within a 20–25 minute commute of the worksite • Temp-to-perm opportunity based on performance Training will be conducted onsite at the Shelby location.
