Job Description

A leader in the chemical and energy sector is seeking an experienced and qualified Electrical System Specialist / Practitioner to join the Sasolburg team on a short term contract ending September 2025. Key experience and qualifications: 3 years' related experience Matric Clear criminal record Medically fit Great track record as reference checks will be conducted upfront Professional and Personal key skills: Communication Troubleshooting Technical Collaborator Problem solving Analytical Results driven Key performance areas: Performance and Target Management Set and work towards personal performance targets in line with performance agreements. Regularly review and update performance goals. Ensure work is completed as per the planned schedule, meeting deadlines and performance metrics. Continuously track and manage delivery targets (e.g., tons, products, services) as per BU and discipline-specific requirements. Independently plan and manage own workload to align with team and organizational objectives. Quality and Compliance Ensure all work is executed to meet or exceed quality standards and compliance requirements. Adhere to standard procedures and best practices with appropriate guidance. Support and comply with the Management of Change (MOC) procedure for all modifications. Maintenance and Reliability Coordinate the execution of maintenance strategies and initiatives. Assist with Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) studies and the development of maintenance strategies to enhance equipment reliability. Support continuous improvement and asset reliability through data analysis and technical insights. Cost and Resource Management Optimize and manage resources effectively to ensure efficient operations. Perform tasks in a cost-conscious manner, focusing on budget adherence and value optimization. Maintain an ongoing awareness of cost implications and contribute to budget control. Safety and Risk Management Apply safety principles consistently in all planning and execution phases. Work towards achieving safety and risk mitigation objectives. Promote and comply with safety standards and company procedures. Continuous Improvement and Innovation Identify and implement optimization opportunities. Continuously question and improve current ways of working. Contribute and share innovative ideas to enhance performance and efficiency. Personal Development and Learning Take ownership of personal development, skill improvement, and knowledge growth.
