Senior Project Manager (Civil & Highways)

Job Description

Our client, a leading civil construction company specializing in infrastructure, highways, underground utilities, and shoring, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their team in Langley, BC. Key Responsibilities: Lead the full lifecycle of civil construction projects, with a focus on highways, infrastructure, and underground utilities. Direct project teams to ensure execution aligns with schedule, budget, safety, and quality targets. Identify and mitigate risks while maximizing opportunities to enhance project performance. Liaise with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure stakeholder alignment. Oversee contract compliance, change management, procurement, and cost control. Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development across multiple concurrent projects. Conduct regular site visits and maintain a strong presence in the field to support site teams. Lead project meetings and maintain clear documentation and communication across all parties. Drive implementation of Health & Safety and Quality Management systems across projects. Ideal Candidate Requirements: 7 years of project management experience in civil construction, with demonstrated success on highway or transportation infrastructure projects. Proven leadership managing complex scopes involving excavation, utilities and roads. Strong contract knowledge and experience managing project budgets and schedules. Proficient with project management software (e.g., HCSS, MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite. Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
