Financial Accountant

Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Maintain the general ledger and ensure all transactions are recorded properly Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management Ensure compliance with SARS and other relevant regulatory bodies Prepare VAT, PAYE, and other statutory returns Support internal and external audit processes Develop and improve financial controls, policies, and procedures Collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver financial insights and reporting Required Skills & Experience Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (essential) SAIPA/SAICA articles completed (advantageous) Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in a similar role Solid knowledge of IFRS and South African tax laws Strong Excel skills; experience with accounting systems such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment
