We are looking to recruit a new member of staff in Monfalcone: Quality Assurance Manager – Owner Supply & Logistics PURPOSE: The role is tasked with instilling a “Quality Assured” approach to all assigned Owner Supply (O/S) activity, with an emphasis on commitment, prevention and continuous improvement in collaboration with all internal and external stakeholders. MAIN TASKS: Supports the Director, O/S & Logistics and Sr. Director, Newbuilding O/S & Logistics in the review of Owner Supply materials and equipment; specifically, (but not limited to), those items subject to “technical and/or architectural integration”. Review of specified Owner Supply materials and equipment will include, (but not be limited to); drawings and specifications approval, coordination, quality control visits to vendor premises and mock-up attendance (when requested by stakeholders; e.g. SCM, Hotel Operations). Monitor logistical performance and quality of final onboard installations, reporting discrepancies throughout the Owner Supply process. Work closely with the Director, O/S & Logistics to drive and implement best practices with the Owner Supply teams. Provides timely feedback and regular reports to the Director, O/S & Logistics and Sr. Director, Newbuilding Owner Supply & Logistics (as required/agreed). Identify qualitative and quantitative discrepancies (defects) and propose remedial actions, (as required) to ensure the overall project objectives are met. Instil a ‘Quality Assured’ (QA) approach to key O/S activities, with an emphasis on commitment, prevention and continuous improvement in collaboration with all internal and external stakeholders. In close cooperation with the Director, Owner Supply & Logistics, Newbuilding team, SCM, Brand stakeholders, architects, consultants and Shipyard, achieve the objective of ‘fit for purpose’ and ‘right first time’ for all specified Owner Supply assets. Lead by example by taking care of the health and safety of both him/her-self and others. Demonstrates legitimate dedication to HESS issues and complemented with the outstanding ability to evaluate, organize, prioritize, and ultimately oversee risks to an acceptable level across, in the cause of their job role. Report all accidents, ‘near misses’ incidents and work-related ill health conditions; as appropriate. Follow safety rules and procedures. Use work equipment, personal protective equipment and safety devices correctly. Take part in safety trainings & risk assessments and suggest ways of incidents risks reduction. Actively promote safe working within the O/S team and encourage safe behaviours. Adheres to Policies and Procedures, including Code of Conduct, Audit Procedures and any control related responsibility for financial data entered, stored, or reported via business systems within employee’s control (list not exhaustive). Any other job-related duties, as assigned by the Director, O/S & Logistics and/or Sr. Director, Newbuilding Owner Supply & Logistics. EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree or any equivalent combination of relevant background and work experience. A degree in Eng. or Arch. is preferred. EXPERIENCE: Minimum experience with role includes activities detailed in job description content. KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Experience with Microsoft Office Suite Proficient in the English Language (B2 or above) Use of CAD tools 2D/3D for technical drawings and measurement tools for survey Familiar with time schedule and progress report Demonstratable Team Working Skills Good Communication Skills Driving License B PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, since working in the Yard: on board and warehouses. Requires ability to climb, stoop, kneel, and reach. Must be available for off-hours, holidays and weekends for emergency operations.
