Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: Covering the areas of Lazio region, the Sales Representative for vascular access will be responsible for selling, promoting, and training customers on the entire range of Teleflex Arrow Vascular Access products. Key points of contact include vascular access teams, critical care, operating rooms, and purchasing departments. By building strong relationships with hospital staff to maximize sales growth, this role will ensure that Teleflex Medical is always positioned as a key and preferred supplier. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Examples include but are not limited to: • Schedule and confirm on-site sales appointments, in person and by other appropriate means, to introduce, promote and sell new and existing products to all potential customers (vascular access physicians, anesthesiologists, operating room and critical care staff, purchasing agents and other appropriate decision makers and stakeholders); • Drive the sales process by scheduling and conducting field visits and presentations with follow-up visits, telephone calls, letters and other appropriate actions (sampling, hands-on training, etc.) to generate orders; • Provide hospitals, physicians, clinical staff with up-to-date product information, catalogs and samples; • Interact with internal staff to resolve customer complaints and questions; • Increase market share and revenue through existing customers and new customer development; • Review and record renewal dates for offerings within the customer base; • Plan and prepare all customer visit materials and schedules for tenders; • Provide service education programs in accordance with Clinical Medical Affairs guidelines and protocols; • Prioritize objectives in the sales territory based on customer and company needs; • Proactively plan full territory coverage based on needs assessment; • Negotiate sales contracts and pricing with customers, review existing contracts to identify those requiring follow-up; • Perform agreed administrative duties such as field activity reporting, device watch, forecasting, bidding, quoting, claims management, territory expenses and materials; • Attend and present at national conferences/seminars to acquire new customers through product presentations. Where local sales, marketing and clinical teams provide all necessary assistance as required; • Attend local professional/medical meetings to develop new customers; • Continuously improve product knowledge not only through product training, but also through self-development processes (study, hands-on experience, etc.) and review of current literature for new developments; • Comply with all company policies, rules and procedures. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: • Sales/marketing or product support experience; • Demonstrated sales success in the medical technology industry (desirable, not essential); • Strong written and verbal communication skills; • Strong presentation skills; • Organizational and time management skills; • Ability to analyze and report sales data; • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders; • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills; • Positive values aligned with Teleflex core values; • Ability to think strategically; • Proactive approach to device portfolio management and product support; • In-depth knowledge of local territory.
