Tenuta Toscana is searching for a Golf - Irrigation Foreman Tenuta Toscana, located in the heart of Tuscany, represents one of the most iconic properties in the portfolio, offering a world-class golf experience in an extraordinary natural and cultural setting. We are seeking a knowledgeable and hands-on Golf - Irrigation Foreman to oversee and manage all aspects of the irrigation systems at the Tenuta Toscana golf course. This critical role ensures that the entire irrigation infrastructure operates at peak efficiency, supporting the agronomy team in maintaining elite playing conditions throughout the year. The ideal candidate will bring a deep technical understanding of golf course irrigation systems, strong leadership skills, and a proactive approach to maintenance and water management. Main duties and responsibilities Supervise the daily operation, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of all golf course irrigation systems. Schedule and monitor irrigation cycles to optimize turf health, water conservation, and playability. Collaborate with the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents to adjust irrigation practices based on agronomic needs and weather conditions. Lead and train a small irrigation team, ensuring timely response to system issues and preventative maintenance. Maintain accurate logs of irrigation activity, water usage, repairs, and inventory. Calibrate and maintain irrigation heads, valves, pumps, and central control systems (e.g., Toro, Rain Bird, or similar). Coordinate with vendors, service technicians, and contractors as needed. Support sustainability and environmental best practices in all irrigation-related operations. Assist with major projects such as system upgrades, expansions, and installations Requirements 3–5 years of experience in golf course irrigation systems, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or lead role. Strong working knowledge of automated irrigation systems, hydraulics, pump stations, and weather-based controls. Ability to read and interpret irrigation plans, wiring diagrams, and hydraulic schematics. Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical components. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and record-keeping skills. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and on-call for emergency repairs as needed. Fluency in English required; Italian language skills are an asset. Valid driver’s license and willingness to relocate to Tuscany.
