Sustainability Manager/ESG - French speaker - R1,5m (SA or Africa)

Leading alternative investment firm/fund manager is looking for a specialist to determine the ESG and impact strategy of the fund and provide input into the due diligence process whilst playing an ongoing role in the management, monitoring and optimisation of the fund managers assets. Investments typically include core infrastructure such as toll roads, airports, ports, renewable energy (wind, hydro and solar), digital and telecoms towers in medium-to-large companies operating on the African continent. Relevant qualifications in environmental and/or social sciences with substantial relevant experience and a working knowledge of UNPRI, Equator Principles, IFC Performance Standards, IFC EHS Guidelines, ILO, UN SDGs and any other relevant sustainability standards and guidelines required. Experience in the broad discipline of ESG including Environmental and Social (ES) Screening, ES Impact Assessments (ESIAs), ES Due Diligence, Risk Assessment and ES Management Systems (ESMS) essential. French is a key requirement for success
