Sales Account Manager – Ingredients

NY, NJ, PA Region

 

Our client is a global manufacturing leader of value-added food ingredients sold to: Food, Meat, Poultry, Bakery, Snacks, Appetizers and Sauce manufacturers. They are looking to hire an Account Manager to manage and grow existing sales to food manufacturing accounts in NY, NJ and PA. This role requires travel throughout the region to develop new prospects and interacts with existing customers to increase sales of value-added ingredients, flavors and services.

Requirements


  • Pursue new business opportunities with new accounts conducting presentations, business review and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).

  •  Make sales calls to current customers to promote new products, check inventories, conduct sales meetings and assist with problem resolutions.

  •  Negotiate and manage customer pricing requests and contracts.

  •  Attend all major industry trade shows and conventions

  •  Perform other duties or special projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Must have at least an Associate’s degree, Bachelor's preferred.

  • Must be living in NY, NJ or PA area

  • Must have at least 3 years of food ingredient or flavor manufacturing sales experience (B2B)

  • Must have a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected

  • Must be willing and able to travel at least 50% of the time - can occasionally include a weekend
