Drainage Engineer Manager Location: Crewe, CW2 (with nationwide travel) Job Type: Full-time Salary: £32,000 – £36,000 per year Reference ID: Drainage Engineer Manager We are currently recruiting for an experienced and driven Drainage Engineer Manager to join and strengthen our Solutions Department. This is a hands-on position that requires both technical ability and leadership skills, working across a range of commercial and residential projects throughout the UK. Role Overview The successful candidate will lead drainage and groundworks teams, manage site operations, and ensure the smooth delivery of works while maintaining high standards of health and safety. You will be responsible for overseeing project timelines, interpreting design specifications, and ensuring all works are carried out to specification and in line with company standards. The role includes managing drainage repairs, pipework renewals, patch lining, concrete slabs, tank installations, excavation and reinstatement, fencing, hoarding, drop kerbs, and pathway works. You will be expected to work across multiple sites and in various weather conditions. Required Experience and Skills Applicants must have practical experience in excavation, drainage installation, flagging and paving, concreting, and water treatment tank installations. Experience in fencing is also essential. You should be confident managing teams, resolving on-site issues, and maintaining a safe working environment. Essential Certifications CSCS card CPCS 360 Excavator or NPORS equivalent NRSWA (Streetworks) Desirable (but not essential) Health and Safety qualifications Confined Spaces certification High Pressure Water Jetting Cat and Genny Safe Dig Shoring Dumper Truck operation Working Hours Monday to Friday, with overtime available.
