SEMH Teaching Assistant | Full Time | Walthamstow, East London Role: SEMH Teaching Assistant Start: September start Location: Walthamstow, East London Contract: Full time Rate: £90-£115 per day We have an amazing new SEMH Teaching Assistant offer located in Walthamstow, East London. compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant who is willing to support year one teacher in a classroom setting at one of our most enriching partner schools in the London. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant your day-to-day role will involve you providing direct support for the classroom teacher. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant you will need to successfully demonstrate that you can create a positive inclusive learning environment for the student whilst collaborating with the classroom teacher and other professionals to create a positive and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate: Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting. Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods. Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
