You possess significant experience in social work, specifically working with adults, older adults, and those with physical disabilities. What the Job Involves As an experienced social worker, your primary role is to listen and connect with adults and carers to promote their well-being and maximize their independence. You'll be the point of contact for the public and professionals, directing them to appropriate services. Using a strength-based approach, you'll work with adults who have complex needs, engaging with other professionals to ensure a multi-agency approach. You will meet statutory requirements and promote best practices under the Care Act 2014, the Mental Capacity Act 2005, and the Mental Health Act 1983. You'll also support and mentor social care workers, newly qualified social workers, and students, ensuring safeguarding and supporting eligibility for NHS Healthcare. Your responsibilities include representing the service at meetings, conducting meaningful conversations to determine Care Act eligibility, and developing creative support plans. You'll maintain accurate records, engage in reflective practice, make financial decisions, and continue professional development, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. Skills Significant experience in social work and care with adults Specialist knowledge of social work theories and practice Detailed knowledge of relevant legislation Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to organize work and manage multiple priorities Partnership working and negotiation skills Proficiency in IT and assessment tools Ability to manage conflict situations Professional qualification and registration in social work
