Job Description (Onsite position Paseo de la Reforma 26) ● Resolve customer’s technical issues and concerns via email and chat. ● Empathize with customer needs and pain points. ● Provide clear instructions to customers from technical documentation. ● Collaborate with other support engineers and global team members. Mandatory/Required Skills ● Can communicate well in English (written and spoken) ● JavaScript knowledge (Basic to Intermediate) ○ Ability to read and understand code ○ Able to write code to reproduce customer issues (e.g. customer provides a method/function, and a candidate will have to troubleshoot it) ● Ability to read and understand public facing technical documentation (e.g. Google Maps Platform developer documentation). ● Can work and learn independently. ● Can work in a shifting schedule environment. ● Has an appetite to drive change in the tools, processes, and products to eliminate customer pain points. Nice to have (not required, but an advantage) ● Familiarity with: ○ REST APIs. ○ Web protocols (e.g. HTTP, SSL, etc) ○ SQL (or similar database languages) ○ StackOverflow, Discord, or other online technical communities ○ JSfiddle, JSbin, Stackblitz, or other online code playgrounds Nice to have (not required, but an advantage) ● Familiarity with: ○ REST APIs. ○ Web protocols (e.g. HTTP, SSL, etc) ○ SQL (or similar database languages) ○ StackOverflow, Discord, or other online technical communities ○ JSfiddle, JSbin, Stackblitz, or other online code playgrounds Preferred/Desired Skills Good troubleshooting skills: ○ Ability to use Chrome Developer Tools ○ Inspect page elements ○ Add line breakpoints ○ DOM inspection and manipulation ○ Inspect Network logs ● Experience in building web applications. ● Experience in any of the following Javascript frameworks/technologies: ○ NodeJS ○ Angular ○ React ○ ES6 ○ Typescript
