Job Description
JOB SUMMARY & ACCOUNTABILITIES : The Warehouse & Inventory Control Manager is responsible for the effective execution of any or more of the following areas with the SCM organization such Receiving, Inventory Control, Production Order Fulfillment, Shipping and Logistics & Material Flow according to VOS ( Vertiv Operating System). Basic Competencies: Supply Chain Awareness – Assimilate business strategies and apply supporting warehouse and inventory control process adjustments to ensure reliable, cost efficient inventory management and customer order fulfillment. Continuous Process Improvement – Provide leadership and best practice solutions towards consistent process improvement in an effort to expose and eliminate root causes of problems Inventory and Process Management – Familiarity with logistics processes, tools and concepts necessary to analyze and implement optimal placement/storage of materials required in the manufacturing and distribution process. Material Flow Kanban, POU, Material Routing, Replenishment Systems Etc Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Participates in the continuous improvement of all warehouse activities with the use of Lean Tools. Active participation for following policies and procedures that ensures the preservation and integrity of the product, as well as the integrity of inventory data (accuracy of units, $$, Locations, Expiration Dates, etc.) to maintain a high (98) inventory accuracy level: Ensures all warehouse personnel follows FIFO in the receiving, shipping and storage process Ensures proper storage of all goods in the warehouse to ensure product integrity Lead and executes all scheduled wall to wall physical inventories Development of all cycle counts programs with warehouse personnel and coordinates execution Participates Excess and Obsolete material disposition activities Ensures timely and accurate inventory transactions and supports root cause analysis for all discrepancies Distributes workload and assigns priorities to warehouse personnel ensuring all inventory management activities are executed on a timely manner Responsible for execution of lean inventory management policies: Executes and manages 6S practices with warehouse personnel Ensures warehouse personnel executes kanban activities based on PFEP (Plan For Every Part) for RM, WIP and FG inventory Drives performance improvements (quality and speed of execution) and works cross-functionally to meet on-time delivery goals. Participates in the response of all internal and external customer complaints relative to the inventory and distribution processes. Responsible of documenting and publishing key inventory and distribution metrics (measurables) aligned with the Operational and Business Strategy. Develop actions plans with management to achieve established goals. Participates to all internal and external customer complaints relative to the warehouse management processes. If apply follows up Receiving / AP and Shipping / AR related issues with Procurement. QUALIFICATIONS: Can take action with little direction; self motivated Organizational and analytical skills Shows dependability Negotiating ability Networking and teamwork oriented Project Management skills Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and Minimum of 5 years recent related experience. Knowledge of lean concepts such as 5S, Continuous Flow and Kan-ban inventory management techniques.
