Job Description

Disability Assessor - Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Pharmacists and Paramedics £39,500 bonus scheme and benefits Hybrid remote roles available across England. Full and Part-time positions available Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm - Full-time and part-time positions available after full-time training period. Role Summary: The Disability Assessor conducts independent assessments of individuals with health conditions or disabilities applying for Personal Independence Payment (PIP). The role requires producing comprehensive, evidence-based reports for the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP). The assessor is not responsible for benefit entitlement decisions. Role Overview: Conduct telephone, video, or face-to-face assessments of claimants, primarily at Assessment Centres, with some community visits as required. Perform thorough evaluations to determine how a claimant's disability or health condition affects daily living. Assess individuals with a range of physical, mental health, cognitive, and sensory impairments. Produce impartial, accurate, and high-quality written reports using a designated IT system. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and assessment criteria. Adhere to all professional standards, including Safeguarding, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Data Protection, and Risk Management. Requirements: Experience: Minimum of 1-year post-registration recent experience in a relevant adult setting Registration: Must have at least 1 year of active registration with NMC or HCPC. Skills: Strong communication, effective assessment skills, proficient at typing/report-writing, and excellent IT skills are essential.
