Head of Physics (Maternity Cover) Tower Hamlets | SeptemberDecember 2025 | OFSTED Outstanding School Engage Education is supporting a high-achieving secondary school in Tower Hamlets , graded Outstanding by OFSTED , to recruit a Head of Physics for a maternity cover running from September to December 2025 . This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership position within a thriving and well-supported Science department. Youll lead the planning and delivery of the Physics curriculum across KS3 to KS5 , support a team of specialist teachers, and help maintain the schools excellent standards of teaching and progress. The ideal candidate will: Hold QTS with a specialism in Physics Have experience teaching Physics at KS3KS5 , including A-Level Have previous leadership experience or be ready to step into a middle leadership role Be confident in curriculum planning, staff support, and driving department outcomes Be committed to fostering a culture of high expectations and academic success Key Details: Location: Tower Hamlets Contract: Full-time maternity cover (SeptDec 2025) S alary: Paid to scale (Outer London MPS/UPS TLR, depending on experience) OFSTED: Rated Outstanding Why join Engage Education?
