This role involves legislative advocacy, coalition building, and coordination of community-based programs that align with MSPCC’s mission to prevent child abuse and neglect. The ideal candidate for the Policy and Programs Coordinator position is a collaborative, mission-driven, early-career professional with experience in policy, public health, or human services. They are an effective communicator and organizer who brings a strong commitment to equity, a passion for child and family well-being, and the ability to manage projects and engage stakeholders across diverse communities. Responsibilities Provide support to the advisory boards and committees related to policy initiatives including the Children’s Mental Health Campaign, and Massachusetts Alliance for Foster Families. Policy research and analysis, including development of policy memos, fact sheets, talking points, and other written materials. Project management including stakeholder engagement, data analysis and reporting, and the development, dissemination, and analysis of surveys. Participate in the development and implementation of legislative and administrative advocacy strategies. Organize and manage events and meetings with key stakeholders including policy makers. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in public health, education, or related field (lived experience or equivalent education considered). Minimum 2 years’ experience in project management, direct services, or policy work related to public health, education, or human services. Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to engage effectively with diverse populations. Demonstrated commitment to social justice, inclusion, health equity, and diversity-informed care. Proficient with technology; must meet background requirements and have reliable transportation for a hybrid work environment. Schedule: Monday- Friday, 9am-5pm. Hybrid position with regular travel to office in Lexington and meetings in Boston. Occasional statewide travel required.
