BIM Technician - Westville, KZN

Hire Resolve's client, a leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy with a strong footprint across South Africa and projects across Africa and the MiddleEast, is currently seeking a Electrical Revit Draughting / BIM Technician to join its KwaZuluNatal team. Responsibilities Produce and coordinate detailed electrical drawings and 3D BIM models in Revit for buildingservices projects Collaborate closely with electrical engineers, other discipline modellers and external design teams to ensure clashfree, fully coordinated models Manage model version control, family creation and template standards in line with ISO19650/BIMLevel2 protocols Generate drawing registers, schedules and quantity takeoffs directly from the model Participate in design reviews, resolve model issues, and support site teams with uptodate installation drawings Mentor junior draughtspersons, sharing best practice in Revit and BIM workflows Requirements National Diploma (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Draughting Technology or equivalent 5years handson Revit MEP modelling experience, specifically on electrical buildingservices projects Proven track record of delivering BIM Level2 projects and working to BS1192 / ISO19650 standards Sound knowledge of SANS and IEC electrical codes and symbols Ability to interpret engineers designs and transform them into accurate 3D coordinated models Advantageous: Navisworks clash detection, Dynamo scripting, and experience with Common Data Environment (CDE) platforms Benefits Contact Hire Resolve for your next career-changing move.
