CNC Machinist / Setter (Turner) Essex Salary: £30,000 - £38,500 (DOE) Overtime 4 DAY WORKIING WEEK A leading precision engineering firm in the aerospace sector is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist / Setter (Turner) to join their expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to thrive in a high-precision environment with the potential to grow into a leadership role. The Role: You will be responsible for setting and operating CNC turning machinery including Lathes, Turning Mills, and Bar Feeders using controls such as Fanuc, Seiki, and Heidenhain. Machines include Doosan, Hardinge, Mori, and Star. Working with a range of aerospace-grade materials such as aluminium, stainless steel, and Inconel, you'll contribute to producing tight-tolerance components that meet strict industry standards. Key Responsibilities: Set and operate CNC Fixed Head and Sliding Head Turning Machines Ensure parts meet quality and dimensional standards Interpret engineering drawings and specifications Maintain production efficiency and quality Collaborate within a team to meet production targets Essential Skills & Experience: Experience in a high-precision CNC turning environment Proficient with Fanuc and Seiki controls Strong understanding of mechanical and machining processes Experience with bar feed and twin spindle/twin turret machines (desirable) Ability to work independently with a high attention to detail Benefits Include: 4 Day Work Week Overtime available Pension Plan, Health Cash Plan & Life Insurance Employee Assistance Scheme
