Job Description

This is a Idea Validator role with 11point2 based in Sydney, NSW, AU 11point2 Role Seniority - junior, mid level More about the Idea Validator role at 11point2 What’s this job really about? You’ll help us validate the ideas that matter for various large organisations around Australia and the world. You’ll think like a start-up founder (minus the 3am pizza stress). You’ll work fast, think critically, validate with customers, and help turn napkin-scribbled concepts into launch-ready ventures. ‍ What you'll actually do You'll be part of an Idea Validation Squad —a tight, fast-moving team working on a specific missions designed to help our clients achieve a particular vision. Think of yourself as the non-technical co-founder : your job is to validate whether an idea is worth pursuing (commercially, strategically, technically) before any major capital is committed. Your week could include: Talking to real users and industry experts to stress-test an idea Synthesising market data into a clear “Size of the Prize” Mapping out competitors and adjacent solutions Figuring out pathways to market, potential revenue models or early traction Building decks and storylines that help our clients make confident decisions Contributing to and improving our internal knowledge base so we can move even faster next time ‍ What you bring We don’t expect a perfect background—but we do look for a sharp brain, good instincts, and the drive to figure things out fast. Essentials : Bachelor's degree with solid academic performance 3–5 years in consulting, product, strategy or operations Familiarity with tech trends, emerging markets, and how start-ups work Strong analytical chops—you’re great with messy data, and even better at spotting what it means Great communicator, comfortable with clients and co-founders alike A healthy combo of optimism paranoia—hopeful about ideas, skeptical enough to challenge them properly Nice to have : You've founded or tried to build something before (success not required—we love well-earned scars) You’ve worked in or around corporate innovation, start-ups or VC You like automating things to make life easier (for you and the team) ‍ What’s in it for you Learn our Entrepreneurship-as-a-Service (EaaS) method—our proven way to uncover, test and validate bold ideas Work on real-world, high-impact problems in energy, infrastructure, construction and more Grow your skills in commercial analysis, user validation, strategic design and storytelling Be part of a diverse, tight-knit, energetic crew who back each other and go hard for the mission Launch into your next venture or career step with serious entrepreneurial muscle ‍ How we work We’re hybrid and flexible. Offices in Adelaide, Sydney and Perth, but you’ll mostly work where it makes sense for the mission. We’re a small, mighty team that supports each other hard and shares a weird love of sports, food experiments, and arguing (constructively) the right way. Before we jump into the responsibilities of the role. No matter what you come in knowing, you’ll be learning new things all the time and the 11point2 team will be there to support your growth. Please consider applying even if you don't meet 100% of what’s outlined Key Responsibilities ✅ Validating ideas Conducting user research Synthesising market data Key Strengths Analytical skills Communication skills Market research Entrepreneurial experience Innovation experience ⚙️ Automation skills null Core skills Why 11point2 is partnering with Hatch on this role.
