Medical Officer (RMO)

Our client in Papua New Guinea is looking for a Resident Medical Officer (RMO) to join thier busy taem in their prestigious hospital in PNG You will be responsible for providing accurate diagnoses, delivering effective treatments, and ensuring a high standard of patient care. Youll monitor in-patients, maintain detailed medical charts, and administer prescribed procedures and medications. In emergencies, you'll take the lead in stabilizing patients and initiating life-saving interventions. You'll also work closely with consultants and nursing staff to implement treatment plans and ensure smooth coordination of care. This role involves maintaining clear and timely documentation, preparing medical reports, and complying with all hospital protocols and patient safety standards. Youll also participate in professional development through CME sessions, training, and mentoring junior staff when needed. Key Qualifications: MBChB or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification Proven experience in a hospital or clinical setting (inpatient and emergency care preferred) Strong diagnostic and decision-making skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Ability to work under pressure and respond swiftly to critical situations Commitment to continuous learning and medical best practices
