OHS Officer

Our client in the Engineering secto r is looking for an OHS Officer to join their team for a project in KwaZulu Natal, Kwa Dukuza. Desired Qualifications and Skills: Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or related field. Full registration as a Professional Construction Health and Safety Agent (Pr.CHSA) with SACAP (non-negotiable). 5 years of experience in OHS management for construction or infrastructure projects. SAMTRAC and NEBOSH certifications are advantageous. Strong knowledge of OHS legislation and safety management systems. Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and implement OHS policies and procedures for infrastructure projects. Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and site inspections to identify hazards. Ensure compliance with OHS Act, regulations, and industry standards. Prepare and maintain safety documentation, including incident reports and safety plans. Train and educate project teams on safety protocols and best practices. Investigate workplace incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Liaise with stakeholders, including contractors and regulatory bodies, to ensure safety compliance.
