As a Gaming Xpert, youll go beyond selling youll be guiding players, shaping setups, and building a local community where gaming comes to life. What Youll Do Customer Engagement & Sales Deliver genuine, knowledgeable consultations rooted in your own gaming experience. Guide customers through their entire journey from console choice to accessories and streaming gear. Stay on top of game launches, bundles, pre-orders, and current industry trends. Meet and exceed sales and service KPIs, both personal and team-based. Gaming Expertise Be the in-store authority on gaming platforms, hardware, performance specs, and accessories. Stay current with esports, content creation trends, and major gaming updates. Provide personalized recommendations based on playstyles and needs not just specs. Demo Zone & Events Maintain immersive, up-to-date demo zones that reflect current titles and hardware. Host in-store competitions, events, or live gameplay demos. Bring pro-level insights to casual audiences and help every gamer feel welcome. Community & Brand Engagement Build local loyalty by connecting with players, content creators, and online communities. Support brand visibility through Discord servers, livestreams, or tournament hosting (with approval). Represent the brand at gaming events, expos, and special activations. What Youll Need 12 years of experience in tech, electronics, or gaming-related retail. Active gamer across at least two major platforms (e.g. PlayStation, Xbox, PC, Switch). Strong knowledge of gaming gear, streaming tools, and community platforms. Excellent communication skills relatable, approachable, and knowledgeable. Comfort working weekends and peak retail seasons. A tech-savvy, detail-oriented approach and a drive to elevate the customer experience. Bonus Points If You Stream regularly or create gaming-related content. Manage or moderate gaming communities (e.g. Discord, Reddit). Have competed in tournaments, hosted gaming nights, or led esports activities. Coach players, shoutcast matches, or write about gaming. Are active in South Africas (or international) esports or gaming content scene. Build or optimize your own gaming setups. Why Join Us?
