Junior HR Manager - Western Cape

Location: Ceres, Western Cape Industry: Agriculture Salary: R37,500 R46,000 per month (depending on experience) Our Client is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Junior HR Manager to join their team based in Ceres, Western Cape . The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting HR operations, employee relations, recruitment, and compliance across our agricultural sites. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the implementation of HR strategies, policies, and procedures across the company. Support recruitment and onboarding of new staff, including coordination with line managers and external service providers. Maintain and update employee records in line with legal and company requirements. Assist with payroll inputs and ensure employee benefits are administered accurately and timeously. Monitor attendance and leave records, and support line managers with performance management processes. Facilitate training and development initiatives and track employee progress. Support in managing employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary processes, and grievance procedures. Ensure compliance with labour laws and agricultural sector regulations (e.g., BCEA, LRA, OHSA, Sectoral Determination 13). Prepare regular HR reports and metrics for management. Provide day-to-day HR support to all departments within the company. Minimum Requirements: Bachelors degree or National Diploma in Human Resource Management or related field. 24 years experience in an HR generalist role, preferably in agriculture or a similar industry. Knowledge of South African labour laws and HR best practices. Experience with HRIS systems and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Strong interpersonal and communication skills (English and Afrikaans advantageous). Ability to work independently in a rural/farm environment. High attention to detail and strong administrative skills.
